It
only gets better when you give up on it.
Allah, Exalted be He, says: [and
whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart (
to the true Faith with certainty]…"
(Al-Taghabun:11)
So, man can stand the ordeals and be patient in the
time of calamity, but on one condition that he has faith in Allah All-Mighty,
surrenders to Him, depends on Him and believes in Doomsday and the fate,
whether good or bad. If any man of us
who believes in and depends on Allah
faces an ordeal, Allah will guide his heart and pour reassurance into his
chest. Allah All-Mighty will also make him demonstrate patience,
anticipating Allah's reward. Then on Doomsday when man is resurrected and
needs any reward to make his good deeds weigh heavily in the scale, he will
find the doubled reward for having patience when in ordeal in the world life.
This reward is double-folded without measure as Allah All-Mighty says: [
Only those who are patient shall receive their reward in full, without
reckoning.](Az-Zumar:
10)
Now,
let's move to review pictures of various inflictions, and why Allah All-Mighty
inflicts certain people of His creatures. The first case is when Allah,
Exalted be He, likes one of His servants, and knows that this servant
committed many sins in his world life that may outweigh his good deeds on
the Day of Judgement. Yet, Allah likes to see His servant free from any sins
so as not to punish him at all. Thus, Allah All-Mighty inflicts His beloved
servant with ordeals, for demonstrating patience at the time of ordeals
makes man gain rewards more than those of any other ritual. That way, that
beloved servant will have the rewards necessary to outweigh his sins.
