         This same Muhammad was once sleeping on a straw mat that made his sided ache… So, the Companions of him: may Allah be pleased with them, said to him: ( O Allah’s Messenger!… If you only let us bring you a soft mattress to sleep on!) .. The Prophet said to them: (World life, it is mine not for me, this life is like a tree for a traveler who came under its shade for a while and then left it) .. [Urwa] reported that [Aisha] - the Mother of Believers-said to him: ( By Allah, nephew, we (the Prophet’s family) used to see a crescent after a crescent (two months elapsed), and no fire was to be set (to cook) in the Prophet’s houses…  Urwa asked: What did you live on then, my aunt?.. Aisha said: " Dates and water".

            [ Ibn Abbas] - May Allah be pleased with him and his father-also reported that the Prophet used to spend many consecutive nights having nothing to dine with, and his family too).

            [Abu Huraira] - may Allah be pleased with him - also reported: (One day or night the Prophet went out and found Abu Bakr and Umar Ibnul-Khattab… He asked them why they went out of their homes at that time. They answered him: Out of hunger, Prophet of Allah… He said: (I swear by Allah Who controls my soul-I went out of my home for the same reason)… In this regard, ‘Aisha also says: (Until Muhammad (pbuh) died, his folks never had enough bread and oat for two consecutive days).
