Letter

"He whoever goes to a divine and asks him anything is denied repentance for 40 nights. And if he believes in the divines’s words, he is a disbeliever." Another Hadith states that: "He whoever goes (to a magician) without believing in him, his prayers are not accepted (by Allah) for forty nights".

Before concluding this letter, now the ailment is known. So, what about the treatment?… He who suffers from a spell of magic or wants to be protected from it should not go to the magicians. Spells and amulets are not the solution. For he who believes in this is a disbeliever. Thus, man may lose his religion – Allah forbid. The solution as Allah All-Mighty and His Prophet (pbuh) told us is stated in the following verse:

[ Verily, those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious -see V.2:2), when an evil thought comes to them from Shaitan (Satan), they remember (Allah), and (indeed) they then see (aright).] (Al-Araf : 201)

Thus, the first treatment conditions lies in our faith in Allah. Muslims have to abide by the Qur'an and the Prophet's Tradition. We should clean our souls from sins. That way, we shun the Devil. If a Muslim observes Allah's ordinances and reads the Holy Quran regularly, he would never be affected by magic, envy or any of the Devil's actions. We should read the Verse of the (Al-Kursi) mornings and evenings and after each prayer. The Chapters of "The Purity of Faith", [Surat Al-Ikhlas] "The Daybreak" [Surat Al-Falaq] and "Mankind" [ Surat An-nas] should be read thrice a day as the Prophet told us to protect us against evil.
